This large federal Government department is responsible for supporting environmental matters which can affect local communities, Australia wide.
About the role
This role will see you working in the field as well as the office. You will be a SME and the go to officer for many employees in the field. You will need to be very adaptable and have experience training and implementing legislation to meet compliance standards. You must have a strong character and be able to deliver clear and concise communication at all times.
Skills and Experience
In this role you will be responsible for:
How to apply
Contributing to the development of regulatory policies, guidelines and operating procedures
Improving delivery and effectiveness of compliance management services
Providing advice and support to compliance staff
Coordinating administrative support for appointed staff, including the design and delivery of relevant training
Building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including mentoring support and staff development
Demonstrated (or the ability to rapidly acquire) knowledge and understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements, policies and procedures relating to relevant Commonwealth compliance practices including how they apply to the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act 1999 and Regulations 2000.
