Job Description

The Shared Services Program is part of the Government's vision for a smarter, more productive and more sustainable public sector through the provision of common corporate services.

The advertised role is in the Governance and Risk team but the successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the Policy team and with Shared Services Provider Hubs and other Commonwealth agencies to deliver joint outcomes.

The Policy and Governance and Risk teams are responsible for leading implementation of the whole of Government policy outcomes for the Shared Services Program which includes over 90 Commonwealth agencies.

The key duties of the position include
In this role, you will be required to work closely with the Executives within Finance and in external agencies to implement sound governance arrangements that enable the Government's Shared Services Program outcomes. You will monitor the strategic risks for the program and work with key stakeholders to manage shared risks, identify controls and report on implementation.

You will be responsible for providing Secretariat functions such as developing the forward work program, drafting meeting papers, taking minutes of meetings and maintaining the outcomes and action items register.

You will be able to work at pace, be flexible, have attention to detail and have the ability to think strategically.
