Your new role
Associate Director
to be responsible for credit decisioning and credit risk management ('second line' risk), for C&IB Corporate Finance across the Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure industry segments. Your accountabilities will include;

  • Articulate credit risk appetite in a manner that achieves buy-in from the dependent Business units, Coverage and Client Management & Execution (CME, 'first line' risk)
  • Execute credit decisions within credit risk appetite
  • Through effective credit management, maximise shareholder value by supporting a fair and consistent risk-reward balance
  • Embrace zero credit loss tolerance and actively monitor and manage the portfolio to this target
  • Ensure compliance with external legislation, regulatory directives and internal bank standards.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Extensive experience (6+ years) gained in institutional banking / capital markets, including experience in Credit Risk Management roles, ideally covering Energy, Utilities or Infrastructure, including holding and exercising a credit approval authority
  • Deep knowledge of credit and financial analysis of the varying counterparty types.
  • Must have a background in energy/utilities able to do risk assessment on cashflow analysis
