Associate Director -Risk (Energy & Utilities) Risk and Compliance

Your new role Associate Director to be responsible for credit decisioning and credit risk management ('second line' risk), for C&IB Corporate Finance across the Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure industry segments. Your accountabilities will include;
Articulate credit risk appetite in a manner that achieves buy-in from the dependent Business units, Coverage and Client Management & Execution (CME, 'first line' risk)
Execute credit decisions within credit risk appetite
Through effective credit management, maximise shareholder value by supporting a fair and consistent risk-reward balance
Embrace zero credit loss tolerance and actively monitor and manage the portfolio to this target
Ensure compliance with external legislation, regulatory directives and internal bank standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive experience (6+ years) gained in institutional banking / capital markets, including experience in Credit Risk Management roles, ideally covering Energy, Utilities or Infrastructure, including holding and exercising a credit approval authority
Deep knowledge of credit and financial analysis of the varying counterparty types.
Must have a background in energy/utilities able to do risk assessment on cashflow analysis
