We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Assurance Advisor to support the Compliance Assurance Manager to execute second line compliance assurance activities across icare. This role will focus on developing and implementing controls assurance program for monitoring, testing and reporting to support icare’s compliance obligations at an enterprise level.

You’ll be working with a diverse team of high performing, committed and enthusiastic people who really care about making a difference for people and the NSW community. You will have a mind for getting things done and a heart for people and you will set the bar high through the quality of the work you do and the people-oriented decisions you make.

You’ll bring demonstrated experience in compliance and/or risk frameworks coming from an audit or assurance background. You would have experience in controls assurance testing or auditing ideally from the insurance, financial services or government entities. Backed with good communication and problem-solving skills, you would be comfortable developing relationships and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

It’s an exciting environment where no two days are the same. But on a typical day you might find yourself:

• Supporting the effective implementation of the enterprise wide compliance management framework and broader risk management framework across the icare business, through a systematic and thorough controls assurance program.
• Undertaking key control testing and reporting on design and operating effectiveness of the control framework.
• Supporting the business to identify key compliance controls and implement testing plans to identify control gaps and weakness.
• Undertaking risk-based deep dives on high risk areas to assess the strength of the control framework.
• Assessing and evaluating policies and procedures to achieve the identified risk management objectives and recommend improvements to business operations where necessary.
• Engaging and fostering internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure effective engagement with icare’s risk strategy, appetite and tolerances.
