How will I help?

Reporting to the National Credit Manager, Equipment Finance, you will deliver professional second line credit risk capability for the business by achieving critical business and portfolio outcomes including risk/reward, credit coaching, customer advocacy and operational risk effectiveness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for credit and portfolio quality, maintaining optimal credit standards and business service quality
  • Ensuring all credit decisions within credit authority limits (CAL) are soundly based, involve appropriate research & analysis and reflect the bank’s current underwriting standards, policies and risk appetite for the segment
  • Fostering effective relationships with key stakeholders such as bankers/brokers to achieve the best possible outcomes for the bank
  • Providing transactional coaching to bankers/brokers to enhance their deal structuring skills, thereby improving the customer experience

What do I need?

A strong applicant will have 2-3 years’ credit decisioning/business banking experience, and exposure to equipment/asset finance is highly regarded. You will also have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and appropriately challenge as required.
