This Advice & Insurance team is responsible for providing analytical assets for the Advice & Insurance within RBS. The team is focused on creating information assets in support of decision making, insights and portfolio effectiveness.  These information assets are created using industry best practices leveraging cutting edge technology and methodologies.

As a Manager- Data Management & Governance,  you will be focused on data management prescribed policy, standards and procedures across Advice & Insurance, supporting Data Management Implementation via Project & BAU, Data Guardrails review, work with Risk & Controls to support data related controls.

Key responsibilities 

Lead implementation of Group Data Management framework (DMIM) in Advice & Insurance

Uplift Data Quality across data domains – customer, account and transaction in data warehouse as well as source systems

Define, implement and maintain Data Catalog and Data Dictionary to enable Data democratization and self-service by business and risk/compliance users

Define and maintain Advice & Insurance data life-cycle management policies in accordance with regulatory obligations and lead implementation of agreed policies on Advice & Insurance data

Support data guardrails approval as part of the Group Delivery Framework for each project

Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements. Also, provide regular progress reports to management.

Ensure adherence to various internal and external data standards (including privacy, security and regulatory compliance data obligations)

Collaborate with other data stewards and other data offices on any data management related activity e.g. definition differences, data interdependences and methodologies

  

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

Broad experience in Data Management preferably in financial services

Hands-on experience in setup and implementation of Data Management function including Data governance, Data quality Management, Data lifecycle management etc

Deep understanding of data implementation and/or analytics practices and challenges in Financial Services and/or other regulated environments

Acquired knowledge of global industry best practices for Data Management.

Strategic thinking and proven ability to create clear future focused plans.  

Behaviours aligned with CBA Vision and Values to effectively drive performance outcomes.

Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills with an acknowledged track record of building positive and productive partnerships at all levels of an organisation.

Demonstrated ability to communicate with impact, both written and verbal.
