EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:

Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.

Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.

The opportunity

The Data Security Services (DSS) team is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of DSS processes and supporting technologies with the aim to identify sensitive data, detect and prevent misuse, unauthorized access and/or improper handling of sensitive data. The DSS Asia-Pacific Service Manager is the key contact for customers of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP).

Your key responsibilities

The duties of this role include the following:

  • Responsible for DLP service delivery to Asia-Pacific customers
  • Execute enterprise DLP service model and supporting processes
  • Implement specific requirements in alignment with business needs
  • Responsible for process training of business delegates
  • Define and create formal communications to support implementations and regular service provision
  • Develop and implement awareness activities around DLP for business stakeholders and delegates
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings with DSS team and business stakeholders
  • Develop reports and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the DLP service
  • Provide project management and oversight for implementation and regular service provision
  • Identify all resources required for implementation and regular service provision
  • Support continuous business process improvement
  • Driving the implementation of activities as defined, ensure the readiness of all impacts resulting from projects, engage in operational and stakeholder actives and work with designated local deployment team to actively set and manage stakeholder expectations. This person will interface closely with the other DSS Teams, Regional Service Managers and internal customers.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrated experience managing security programs from design through implementation and ongoing maintenance
  • Ability to facilitate efficient communication across all levels of the DLP service to ensure the project goals and objectives are met
  • Strategic skills to assist with the development of a long-term vision for the firm’s data centric security approach
  • A thorough understanding of the business objectives of Service Lines and CBS
  • Strong ability to lead and manage resources from various geographic backgrounds
  • Global mindset for working with different cultures and backgrounds
  • Ability to team well with others to facilitate and enhance the understanding & compliance to security policies
  • Ability to work in time-sensitive and stressful situations with ease and professionalism
  • Possess a versatile communication style that adjusts to the audience; communications to top management will need to be different for lower levels as well as external parties
  • An Information Security background to speak intelligently to both technical and non-technical teams and understand the variation of risks posed to the firm in different situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enterprise knowledge of the firm to assess risks and integration into the Information Security Management System and convey to external auditors

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Advanced degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of experience in project management function
  • Exceptional judgement, tact and decision-making ability
  • Outstanding management, interpersonal, communication, organizational and decision-making skills.
