Leading Global Bank has a rare opening for a senior risk leader to join them & run their Line 2 Operational Risk function at a regional level with global accountabilities. This is a highly visible role and an exciting opportunity for someone looking to join this leading global bank. You must come from a strong banking background with extensive Operational Risk and/or Internal Audit experience. Both people Leadership & sound Influencing skills at c-suite level are essential for the role.

You will be accountable for all Operational Risk and Regulatory interaction across all business lines. Develop and maintain an Independent View of the Business Risk Profiles, ensure all Operational Risk policy annual attestations are completed, present at all governance meetings, review all new product approval processes, run and collate all monthly reporting and have oversight of all business data quality processes.

Desired experience

  • Strong Operational Risk and/or Audit background ideally from a Big 4 consulting firm.
  • CA or CPA Qualified.
  • Extensive Banking background with a preference to Institutional Banking.
  • Strong Communicator both verbally and written.
  • Strong level of judgement with the ability to influence at a very senior level
  • Extensive stakeholder management skills & ability to liaise & present to senior management both globally and regionally
  • The ability to think on your feet and make sharp and difficult decisions quickly
  • Sound commercial acumen with the ability to translate methodology into an operational environment
