The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Manager, Project rQ (Risk Program) Compliance Strategy to join IAG’s Group Risk team on a full time basis. In this role you will lead the delivery of the Compliance Strategy workstream within the Risk transformation Program (Project rQ). Project rQ aims to accelerate the development of IAG’s risk capability and capacity to meet increasing community, regulatory and stakeholder expectations, in line with IAG’s strategic themes of customer, simplicity and agility.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the delivery of required outputs and outcomes for the Compliance work stream on time, within budget and to quality requirements.
• Lead the realisation of the change or capability uplift for your Workstream focusing on the compliance strategy for the obligations, controls and implementation of the three lines of defence, ensuring connections with other streams of work are seamless and aligned with strategic direction, dependencies are managed and delivery is coordinated.
• Ensure positive collaboration across streams to drive innovation and market leading Risk Management outcomes.
• Ensure effective understanding, alignment and advocacy of the project stream and its deliverables amongst project team and senior stakeholders.
• Drive adjustments as required back into project delivery scope, prioritisation and schedule based on benefits realisation as agreed with Stream Sponsor where appropriate.
• Ensure the scope of the stream and projects is appropriate to deliver the business outcomes required. Also ensure prioritisation of the statement of work in alignment with the Business Owner and the Business Sponsors.
• Track progress of delivery against vision; making day to day trade off decisions around scope prioritisation, breadth and depth with a view to maximising outcomes.
• Work with the Program Office to ensure business led change whilst leveraging the change delivery framework applied by the delivery teams

Skills & Experience

• Extensive risk management experience with an insurance or financial services provider
• Outcomes focused and results driven, proven success in the delivery of key programs of work
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to reset expectations, respond swiftly to changes and visualise outcomes
• Proven ability to influence GLT, EGM and wide stakeholder group in course of action and to adapt where other perspectives are valid
• Proven ability to actively keep abreast of changes in external environment and translate into internal environment
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across whole of function and broader group to reach common approach
