FRM Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Pty Ltd (FRM) is a Darwin based company that commenced operations in 2012. We are now one of the leading regional, commercial refrigeration and air conditioning companies in the Northern Territory. 

We specialise in the design, installation and service of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems. We are currently involved in large contract works for major Northern Territory projects such as national chain supermarkets, shopping centres, Defence Establishments, schools, and government buildings. 

The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for immediate start for a driven and diligent HR & Safety professional to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director, this position will be responsible for Human Resources, Work Health & Safety and Payroll, with key responsibilities as follows:

  • Process weekly payroll, including timesheets, and weekly and end of month reporting.
  • Managing the end to end recruitment process and facilitating the on boarding process, including setting up new starters in the payroll system.
  • Provide sound advice and guidance on Safety, Award and Industrial Relations issues and queries.
  • Coaching and influencing Managers & Supervisors on day to day employment and safety matters to enable a strong and safe working culture.
  • Implementation of policies and procedures across the organisation ensuring a high level of industrial and safety compliance.   
  • Undertake workplace investigations, toolbox meetings and risk assessments as required.
  • Drive and promote the Organisational Culture.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum of 4 years Generalist HR, IT or Safety experience preferably in a blue collar environment
  • Minimum 2 years experience in payroll processing
  • Strong organisational, problem solving, dispute resolution skills including the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines
  • Exemplary interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a high level of motivation and the ability to build and maintain strong business and professional relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
  • Minimum Cert IV in WHS would be highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources

The following will be highly regarded:

  • Experience in a blue-collar industry
  • Experience using Employment Hero HR & Payroll platform
