Job Description

Contributing to the development and implementation of the IT governance framework, you will provide specialist advice to stakeholders on a range of governance related matters and promote compliance within the department standards, policies, and procedures while facilitating the identification and management of risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain and evaluate the IT governance framework
  • Conduct research through identification, collection and analysis of data relevant to governance processes including document preparation
  • Schedule and prepare for governance committee meetings, including coordination and preparation of meeting agendas, papers and minutes
  • Manage the establishment and maintenance of an IT Governance operational plan, and ensuring all regular IT Governance related activities are scheduled
  • Resolve gaps that exist between current state and target state of IT Governance


Key Requirements:


  • Understanding of IT general controls (security, change management, disaster backup recovery and IT application control concepts
  • Extensive experience in undertaking governance, quality assurance and commercial analysis
  • Strong financial acumen and extensive experience with interpreting financial reports
  • Experience to present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress toward postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience
