About the Team

Our leading Program/Project Assurance practice is growing to meet an increase in demand from our varied and well-known clientele. We provide real-time and prospective advice to Senior Executives on potential risks and issues at either key points in time, or through a continuous and ongoing assurance role during the life of a program/project.

As a result, we are positioned in key strategic roles to assist, shape and guide key transformation programs.

Due to the success and growth of our Sydney technology practice, KPMG now have opportunities at the Manager level to join our team.

Your New Role

  • Manage small to medium size teams of talented KPMG professionals and oversee the planning and execution of IT Risk and Assurance client engagements
  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls throughout the business cycle, while providing performance management for IT risk and assurance staff.
  • Write and present clear and concise reports and presentations containing meaningful observations and recommendations to clients, and review documented procedures performed and conclusions reached related to projects.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to KPMG team members regarding deliverables, project plans, and performance management.
  • Support proposal and business development activities by assisting in the identification of new target clients, building business relationships with key executives, and developing / presenting proposals.

You bring to the role

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to understand key ICT project implementation phases. Key to delivering successful outcomes will be the ability to provide practical, pragmatic and implementable advice. The ability to rapidly analyse and provide real-time advice is essential, as timeliness is critical to this service.

Skills and experience required include:

  • An ability to lead large projects including facilitating client workshops and coaching and mentoring more junior team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of IT Audit, Risk and Assurance engagements; assurance over major transformation projects will be a bonus!
  • Demonstrated experience within professional services and delivery of client-services
  • A curious mind and a genuine interest in technology transformation, emerging technology risk and technology assurance practices.
  • Knowledge of global frameworks and standards applicable to Technology Risk and Project/Program management is desirable (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, SAP)
  • Demonstrated experience or certification in Accounting will be highly desirable!
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
