This is an exciting new opportunity to join Macquarie’s Risk Management Group, focused on key Financial Crime Risk initiatives. This is a high visibility role, on a multi-year, CRO sponsored program!

Focused on key Financial Crime Risk (FCR) initiatives, this role will provide you an opportunity to work closely with global FCR stakeholders, colleagues in technology, operations, and other business groups to define the target operating model and subsequently assess impacts on current state. You will be part of a collaborative team working in a fast-paced environment. The initiatives are at an initiation stage and therefore you will have the opportunity to contribute and get exposed to the entire project lifecycle .

You will be a Manager/ Senior Manager with strong Business Analyst capability. In this role you will utilize your analytical and horizon scanning skills to define the future state operating model based on industry leading practices. You will use your stakeholder management and negotiation skills to drive agreement on the future state model along with building understanding of the current state.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Horizon scanning to understand the leading practices which would form the foundation of the target operating model
  • Align the target operating model with the FCR programme guidelines
  • Prepare and present the model to senior stakeholders and obtain agreement
  • Understand the current state and conduct the gap assessment
  • Plan, develop and manage execution of end-to-end roadmap (from design to implementation) and take ownership of it
  • Working to deadlines, delivering to scope
  • Organizing, leading, and contributing to working groups as required
  • Identify delivery risks and dependencies early and communicate

To be successful in the role you will bring with you at least 3+ years prior Business Analyst experience, ideally experience of building the target state operating model. Experience of working with a consulting organization for 2+ years would be highly preferred. You will use your strong consultative and negotiation skills, written and verbal communications skills to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders, and be able to work both independently and has part of team

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
