Attractive remuneration package in range of $155,000 to $165,000 per annum

The Town of Cambridge is currently undergoing an organisational transformation and a number of new opportunities have emerged. This new position is an exciting opportunity for a Manager Governance and Executive Services within the Office of the CEO.

The Manager Governance and Executive Services works closely with the CEO, overseeing governance and corporate compliance matters, research, strategic projects, and the Community Strategic and Corporate Business Plans. 

This position is responsible for the Customer Services and Communications Teams, and oversees organisational performance, benchmarking, audit and risk framework and Council support.

Accordingly, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following;

  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in governance, statutory compliance audit and risk, the delivery of customer service, community engagement and corporate and business plans.
  • Substantial experience managing multi-functional teams.
  • Well-developed people leadership skills with the ability to manage the team to achieve high productivity and service delivery.
  • The ability to develop and implement strategic business plans.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to negotiate and develop productive relationships at senior levels of an organisation.
  • Experience developing effective policy and managing business risk in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative working style and continuous improvement focus.

This position is offered on a five (5) year performance based contract and you will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package in the range $155,000 to $165,000 depending upon qualifications and experience. This package includes a base salary (which will be negotiated with the successful candidate), superannuation, and a vehicle allowance of $13,000 per annum. Other benefits include 22 days annual leave, up to 15% superannuation and flexible working hours.
