C3 Australia is part of the Linx Cargo Care Group and is the market leader in Australia forest products handling, with harvesting, haulage and log marshalling operations in key forestry locations throughout Australia.

The Opportunity

C3 is a market leader in innovation, safety, compliance, systems and process in the Australian fibre supply chain industry. An opportunity exists to further develop C3's operations as industry best practice through further development of our training methodology, framework, execution and continuous improvement in a training context.

Reporting directly to the GM -Operations the Training & Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing a small team of regional based trainers to execute and maintain the training and development needs for C3 Australia in line with the overarching LINX Cargo Care Group training strategy. The role will also have a key focus on compliance and alignment of process and systems across C3 Australia nationally. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, execute and maintain an operational training plan following a detailed needs analysis study across all C3 Australia business units.
  • Lead project planning, implementation and roll out of our Learning Management System as driven by business needs.
  • Review current processes and systems in place and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of consistent records of training and assessment across all operating sites and consolidate up into functional reporting to the Group
  • Partner closely with the Group HSE and Training teams to ensure alignment across policy, process and strategic direction.
  • Introduce technical solutions to our inf-field operations to improve operational efficiency and compliance

About your experience

You will have demonstrated experience in a similar lead role within Transport & Logistics, forestry or a related field, with a strong understanding of managing the development and implementation of training and compliance projects along with a proven ability to develop and deploy plans and programs to support People Capability & Organisational Culture. Skills and experience will include:

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a Training or L&D leadership role
  • Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS implementation experience highly regarded)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or relevant tertiary qualification highly regarded.
  • People leadership experience, with the ability to collaborate and manage direct reports
  • Proven business partnering experience, managing and building relationships with all necessary stakeholders.
  • Commercially aware with sound project management skills.
