What we are looking for
The role of our Operational Assurance Officer is to deliver an integrated and ‘hands-on’ operational assurance framework for the Surveillance and Security function, thereby enhancing operational compliance as it relates to internal operating procedures, applicable legislation, organisational requirements and community expectations.
Key responsibilities in the role are, but not limited to:
Support the Asset Protection Risk & Compliance Manager in delivering an integrated yet fully impartial, operational assurance and compliance framework. Focus on risk priorities and operational improvement through a strict compliance measurement approach
Identify operational compliance gaps and make independent improvement recommendations
Review and track operational assurance initiatives
Assist with driving the improvement of professional standards and integrity by developing and implementing an independent and consistent approach to auditing and reporting
Continuously review and monitor incident reporting quality and accuracy including the collection and collation of associated evidence, documents and records
Continuously review and monitor the execution of standard operating procedures, as they relate to the prevention of minors from entering licensed areas
Ensure continuous performance measurement against organisational policies, standards and legislative requirements with a view to minimise risk and drive effectiveness and consistency
Conduct sophisticated and meaningful investigations in relation to critical incidents and serious procedural breaches
Continuously review, monitor and look to improve operational compliance through periodic monitoring, regular auditing and review to ensure the management system continues to function effectively
Proactively seek to experience and genuinely understand any challenges or hurdles faced by operations teams in meeting their day-to-day compliance obligations
What we are looking for:
Previous 3-5 years’ experience in a Compliance, Assurance or Regulatory role
Previous 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership role
Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gambling Accreditation
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships
Certificate IV in Security & Risk Management desirable
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment desirable
