The opportunity:

In this role as an Operational Risk Manager – Framework, Governance and Reporting, you will be a key contributor to the delivery and maintenance of the operational risk framework, as well as the education and training to support it. Additionally, you will take responsibility for the change management agenda across the team. Applications from Sydney and Melbourne are being accepted.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Support the Head of with development and maintenance of the Operational Risk Management Framework and its implementation across the business

  • Provide oversight of Policy Maintenance across the business ensuring that appropriate frameworks are developed, implemented, and complied

  • Develop and maintain relevant risk management committee’s (eg Operational and Policy Governance committee’s) agenda’s and annual workplan and provide secretarial support

  • Develop a training and education framework and associated operational risk materials and support its delivery into the business

  • Complete documentation to support annual risk management declarations to APRA and AIA Group ensuring that the process is fit for purpose and aligns with expectations of EMRC, BRCC, external auditors and AIA Group

  • Take responsibility for establishing effective change management processes for the operational risk team

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated and practical experience within the Australian financial services industry

  • Practical experience with operational risk management frameworks within the Australian financial services industry

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and engagement skills with the ability to influence stakeholder

  • Proven stakeholder management experience

  • Experience in developing innovative and impactful risk reporting

  • Trusted advisor and proactively thinks through issues and the impacts

  • Experience in change management processes

  • Experience in production and delivery of training materials

  • Understanding of the regulatory environment as well as key legislation impacting on business activities in financial services sector
