Our large NSW State Government client delivers insurance and care services to the community of NSW. Whether a person is severely injured in the workplace or on our roads, they support their long-term care needs to improve quality of life outcomes, including helping people return to work.

About the Role

They are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor with extensive governance experience to join their team in Sydney CBD with the opportunity to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 3month temp assignment, with a potential to extend.

Working with Strategic Sourcing and Policy team, you will be required to provide expertise whilst developing and implementing procurement framework for the Procurement Uplift Program.

Your duties will include, but won’t be limited to the following –

  • Validate stakeholder business needs
  • Gather and collating information to support informed decision-making outcomes
  • Analyse and evaluate data, assessing risk to inform procurement planning
  • Generate routine reports to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Participate in negotiations to establish and review current arrangements
  • Contribute to the development of contract management plans, contract variations and performance
  • Provide expertise on governance, supporting good practice in procurement
  • Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks
  • Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Translate complex procurement information into everyday terminology for a variety of stakeholders
  • Manage and maintain intranet and website content
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on procurement policy and legislation
  • Support other team in overflow of transactional processes in SAP
  • Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, facilitating collaboration, cohesion, partnerships, engagement and contribution of ideas

About You

  • Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Professional, resilient and confident approach
  • Takes initiative with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy skill especially proficiency with MS Office suite and SAP
  • Reliable remote internet access
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
