Job Description

The Project Manager, Long Service Leave will demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Catholic education and a capacity to realise that mission in the context of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) Strategic Plan which promotes strong, shared leadership and a culture of creativity and innovative practice.

Working as part of the Catholic Education Long Service Leave Scheme (Victoria)[LSL Scheme] within Finance and Infrastucture Services, the Project Manager, Long Service Leave Governance will contribute to:

  1. To support the General Manager, Long Service Leave with advice relating to governance implementation and policy development, particularly in their impacts at employer and school level.
  2. To provide direction, support and advice to in implementing and adhering to changing governance structures.
  3. To collaborate successfully with CECV to identify opportunities for and obstacles to the successful implementation of governance implementation.
  4. To coordinate the work of external legal counsel and other stakeholders on the registration requirements of an incorporated LSL Scheme


  • Management experience in Catholic schools or educational organisations
  • Extensive experience in managing large, complex projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the nature and purpose of governance structures, their policies and related processes
  • Demonstrated strong capability in championing the implementation of strategic, state-wide initiatives and procedural changes

The successful candidate must hold or acquire a Working with Children Check, and must be willing to acquire a National Police Record Check. Candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia, and be able to provide evidence of this.
