What you can expect from MRL

To support our growing business needs and requirements, a role has become available for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.

Reporting to our Group Sourcing Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control matters for our project suppliers and subcontractors in China submitted with in a progressively timely manner, along with a review and control of related documentation. There will be a requirement to travel to China as part of the role.

With demonstrated knowledge in current Australian Standards in Quality Assurance legislation, you will be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal relationships to develop and maintain strong bonds with our clients, supply vendors and our construction team.

What we expect from YOU

  • Review and monitor Quality systems utilised on the projects for compliance inclusive of Suppliers and Subcontractors documentation in the progressive compilation of MDR’s to the Project Quality Plan and Procedure
  • Ensure all commissioning tests, ‘as built’ drawings, Operations and Maintenance manuals and test results are completed, recorded and submitted in accordance with Project requirements.
  • Ensure that all subcontractor/suppliers submit and complete to the applicable project standards and all required QA/QC surveillance and documentation
  • Liaise with subcontractor/suppliers, Project Managers and teams on all quality matters along with reporting to the Manager Projects on project status
  • Distribution of Inspection Reports and Release Certificates
  • Maintain supplier/subcontractor project punch listing register and provide weekly progress reports to the project team
  • May be required to undertake site visits for extended periods in Turkey, Europe, and Asia

What YOU will bring

  • A minimum of 15 years in a Quality Assurance Manager role in a site or construction environment
  • Be familiar with the relevant Australian standards for welding
  • Familiarity with concrete or electrical standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, supply vendors and the construction team
