Job Description

Bega has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer to join the Contract Manufacturing business unit at the Strathmerton site.

The Quality Assurance Officer will play an integral role driving continuous improvement in quality performance at operational sites to ensure customer, regulatory and Bega quality expectations are delivered.

Reporting to the Quality Specialist-Product Integrity, this role is responsible for:

  • Coordinating all requirements for product and raw material release
  • Generating reports on product clearance, RFT and CNRFT
  • Filing complete batch records as appropriate to support Safe Food Practices
  • Communicating any delays in product clearance to internal stakeholders
  • Generating COAs for finished goods as required

The successful incumbent will coordinate all documentation required for product release such as CCP evidence, test results, ATV approvals and transact the product fate decision accordingly in the Inventory Management System. Coordinating additional testing to facilitate product clearance is also an important component of the position.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing or FMCG industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality assurance management systems
  • Understanding of various computer programs and data management
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Intermediate skills in using ERP Quality Management programs (i.e. SAP/M3)
  • People development experience
