The opportunity: An exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced QA Technician to join the Packaging team within Australian Operations, based in our Rowland Flat office in the Barossa Valley.

The role: The Quality Assurance Technician provides a service to the Packaging and Supply Chain division, 3rd party customers and co-packers in relation to dry goods and finished goods, ensuring our customers receive only high-quality products. The QA Technician supports the production of quality products and drives preventative and corrective actions within Pernod Ricard Winemakers and with suppliers and co-packers.  The QA Technician also carries out projects as assigned by the QA Manager.

What you will be responsible for:

• Continuous improvement in QA processes
• Supporting a quality culture, and coaching packaging operators to ensure quality is a priority
• Approving and checking specification details for new products or changes to existing products
• Manage finished goods from production through to commercial release, including creation and review of production records
• Manage post production analysis and reference samples for our 3rd party customers
• Managing quality & food safety risks by participating in risk assessments and review of risk registers
• Approve and release requisites for production

About you:

• You understand the business requirements of the wine industry, or aligned FMCG environment
• You are tech savvy, with a curious nature. You embrace digital ways of working and excited by new challenges.
• You have a proven ability to multi-task, proactively take initiatives and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a proven background in quality assurance role, preferably with an FMCG operation
• Excellent relationship building skills across stakeholders both internal and external.
