Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified public accountant/chartered accountant.
  • 8 years of relevant experience from public accounting and/or public multinational high-tech companies.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvement, project management and managing change.
  • Effective vendor management skills, with proven ability to partner with vendors to produce innovative solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent functional expertise in SAP FICO, Tax and Accounting in SAP S4/ HANA.

As Regional Lead, Statutory Compliance, for Accounting for Corporate and Indirect Taxes, you will play a vital role in supporting and delivering these objectives. You will be responsible for optimizing the end to end process where data should be readily available from our systems to allow compliance with indirect tax requirements. You will ensure the timely and accurate provision of information to our service providers in order to prepare our indirect tax filings in the most efficient way. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage impactful global and cross-functional projects. As a well-rounded financial advisor you will guide the business to mitigate risk, optimize resource allocation and help build the financial infrastructure to scale the business.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in general tax compliance process ownership for the APAC region, including management of processes performed by external vendors ensuring that all service levels are met, the internal control environment is robust and a quality service is provided.
  • Oversee withholding tax process within accounting, partnering with the internal Tax team on new regulations and implementation of same.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of tools, systems and upstream processes in support of the corporate, withholding and indirect tax reporting functions and highlight opportunities for improvement, managing projects that will yield risk mitigation and efficiency through optimization and automation.
  • Represent International Controllership through effective communication with our key business partners including Entity Accountants and Country Controllers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, S2P, RCO, Legal and Financial Planning.
  • Participate in metrics tracking and reporting to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
