The Group Risk Team is responsible for leading the development, implementation and improvement of an organisational wide risk management framework. Based in North Sydney, through our Risk and Internal Audit function you'll have the opportunity to get hands-on exposure to operations in Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, PNG, Fiji and Samoa. You will get a 360-degree view of Amatil, where you will deliver insights, provide assurance to the Amatil Board of Directors and execute internal audits and risk reviews


  • Support & execute internal audits across the Group;
    • Communicate key risks and concerns to management; and
    • Support the business on acceptable action plans to address control deficiencies and ensure an effective control environment. 
  • Assist with the planning and development of the internal audit plan
  • Assist with managing the internal audit plan agenda, ensuring key milestones are achieved and issues are reported to management
  • Assist with the follow up of outstanding internal audit action items, including working with the Business to ensure that agreed actions in relation to internal audits are completed
  • Contribute to the ‘top down’ high level assessment of the organisation’s risk profile by assisting with research into current and emerging risks across the Group
  • Coordinate risk assessment and reviews as requested by Amatil employees and teams
  • Assist with other risk management, business continuity, and governance strategies and projects as required

This role will include some element of travel (domestic and international)


  • 1-2 years external audit/assurance experience (industry specific and/or Big 4 experience preferred but not essential)
  • Recently CA or CPA qualified (or almost at completion)
  • Understanding of Risk Management Frameworks and Internal Auditing processes  
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to assess the ‘so what’ of key audit findings and develop value creating risk management plans.  
  • Display a willingness to learn new concepts, take on complex tasks and deliver to timeframes
  • Ability to problem solve in ambiguity 
  • Demonstrated results driven behavioural qualities with the ability to meet stringent reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
