Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will be a key member of a recently created function with a business wide mandate and strong support from Flutter. You will play a key role in scaling up operational risk management advisory capabilities for the Technology portfolio, while taking our existing compliance capabilities to the next level.

Duties and responsibilities include:
Develop, maintain and evolve the operational risk profile for the Technology Department focusing on the risks that matter most
Proactively drive the development and implementation of new and/or existing controls for those risks
Prepare timely and engaging material including opinion and recommendation on the health and performance of the Technology Department Risk Profile and how to shift the dial further
Maintain and evolve the Technology Department Compliance Plan, a plain English appraisal of the legislative and regulatory obligations that the Department must meet and various controls and strategies to prevent and/or detect instances of non-compliance
Act as primary point of contact for breach & incident investigation and resolution
Coordinate the implementation of regulatory change as it impacts portfolio
Deliver strategic projects and initiatives at the request of Head of Risk & Compliance
You will have extensive experience in risk and compliance “business partnering” in a heavily regulated, digital business maintaining strong relationships with Executive, GM and Head of level stakeholders including:Understanding and practical application of contemporary enterprise risk management techniques including an engaging verbal and written communication style
Ability to understand and map out business processes and functions, operating models and business architectures to diagnose critical issues
Confidence to present opinion and recommendations on risk and compliance issues and how the dial is shifted which balances strategic and performance outcomes with risk and compliance management
Proactive relationship management and consultation / collaboration across key departmental stakeholders
You will also need to demonstrate:
A commercial and growth focused mindset, with a view that risk and compliance drives business performance and growth and not just tick boxes!
Comprehensive and practical understanding of digital and technology risk including cyber security and cloud-based operating environments
A fresh and engaging approach to written and oral delivery – presenting with impact to influence your stakeholders
A willingness to learn and evolve new ways of working and delivery
Straddle between the traditional “line 1” and “line 2” risk and compliance rhythms to deliver the best outcomes for our business and customers
