Let's talk about the Opportunity
Reporting to the Risk Manager, Commercial, you will partner with leaders to develop and coordinate the implementation of risk management strategies and a robust risk culture. Ensuring that the right risks are taken, with the right controls in place while managing identification and escalation of events, losses or breaches as they occur.

• Support in the identification of key risks and create, monitor, and maintain business unit risk profiles.
• Oversee and support incident management including effective remedial action plans
• In conjunction with business partners, design effective and efficient key controls ensuring operational effectiveness where control gaps or improvement opportunities are identified.
• Educate the business unit on the effective design and delivery of controls aligned to risk appetite, internal policies, standards, and responsibilities.
• Lead the improvement of key risk indicators, appetite and risk tolerance settings across business unit risk categories and remedial actions where required.
• Support risk management activities in line with Technology & Operations strategies

About you
You are passionate about continuous improvement and simplification while challenging the status quo in a supportive and inclusive environment. You have a customer first mindset and constantly seeks ways to strengthen controls while driving better customer outcomes.

• Solid risk and assurance background with a clear understanding of risk management, assurance and compliance principles will support your experience in a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong communication skills combined with the ability to influence and articulate complex risk scenarios.
• Have strong capability in building stakeholder relationships, influencing and advising.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing and changing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Power BI or systems such as Tableau would be favourable however not a critical requirement
