North Western Program Alliance consists of four partners, working as ‘one team’ collocated in the Alliance’s head and project offices. NWPA has a proven track record with the completion of four level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and 3 projects currently in delivery.
We are currently looking for an experienced Risk Advisor to join the team. As Risk Advisor you will support, facilitate and foster the development of a risk management culture to ensure threats and opportunities are proactively identified, assessed and controlled on a continual basis.
Responsibilities of the role include; - Support the Risk Management processes, tools and systems that comply with the Alliance Risk Processes and International/Australian standards - Role model and encourage others to actively demonstrate effective leadership in risk management - Foster the ongoing development and progression of Risk management culture to ensure threats and opportunities are proactively identified, assessed and controlled - Facilitate monthly and ad hoc risk workshops with internal and external stakeholders to enable early identification and assessment of threats and opportunities - Application of Quantitative and Qualitative risk assessments - Provide effective and efficient project risk management analysis, and escalation of risks as appropriate, including the provision of advice to key stakeholders on new and emerging risks, risk relating to design and scope changes. - Application of Risk Management training to the wider project team as required - Encourage an environment of sharing knowledge and ideas to support continuous improvements within the team. - Promote project values in all interactions during decision making.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you demonstrate the following; - Degree in Risk, Engineering, Construction and/or Planning - Practical project delivery risk management experience in the construction industry - Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar role in engineering, construction and/or resource industries, or minimum of 5 years previous in project management role in engineering, construction and/or resource industries - Proficiency in the operation and application of project risk assessment processes and tools. - Facilitation of workshops
