Risk and Governance Analyst


Job Description

You will be responsible for refining and maintaining effective Program and Project Governance strategies (and supporting risk management plans) to facilitate the delivery of the agency's goals and benefits.

A key focus in successful delivery of the Program will be the identification, remediation and management of risks and issues as they arise, including quantifiable analysis between multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control and administration of Risk/Issue management and Governance record keeping.
  • Maintenance of governance records across the program and sub-project hierarchy.
  • Managing, driving and delivering Project Risk and Issue Management Frameworks and performance improvement initiatives;
  • Ongoing reviewing risks, issues and other governance frameworks to enhance quality ensuring practices add value; and
  • Liaising with enterprise leadership and partners to develop and contribute to strategic priorities.
  • Apply program and project governance practices, including managing internal and external stakeholders, supporting governance activities;

Key selection Criteria:

  • High levels of experience with project and program management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle;
  • Experience in leading significant programs and projects through change using best practice management techniques established in the industry;
  • Proven experience and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and able to engage with all levels of an organisation, influence others and envisage a common goal;
  • Proven experience with reporting and analytics to customise governance information assets for effective decision making;
  • Experience and knowledge of Governance and Risk principles, methodologies and tools;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Project management certification or designation will be highly valued.
