About The Role

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: 12 Months Opportunity

This role is required to work from an ANZ workplace. Under the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, the successful candidate will need to provide evidence that they have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine by 26 November 2021, or have a medical exemption evidenced by an authorised medical practitioner, in order to be appointed to the role.

As a Risk Assessment Business Analyst, you will be supporting the Risk Assessment Lead, Financial Crime Portfolio and is ultimately responsible for working with the stakeholders to understand the business needs, key pain points, support management and delivery of solutions.

Working within the stakeholder engagement framework for the project, you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the program’s objectives, that the Business Analyst’s outputs are fit-for-purpose in the eyes of users, and that they meet the program’s requirements.

In this role, you are also expected to work in a collaborative way with other members of the team to deliver on the project’s objectives. This role would suit an organised, effective Financial Crime subject matter expert, who has experience in project delivery and business analysis activities at a senior level.

What will your day look like?

Your daily tasks as a Risk Assessment Business Analyst would include:

  • Work with stakeholders to analyse and synthesise information, relying on tools such as data analysis, process analysis and stakeholder engagement
  • Understand the organisational context, identify and understand the business problem and the impact of proposed solutions on ANZ’s operations
  • Translate business objectives into requirements and solutions
  • Complete analysis activities such as testing, process mapping, planning and change/impact management
  • Work collaboratively to generate key project artefacts including the preparation of reports, data, plans, processes, training
  • Ultimately support the project to elicit, document and manage the requirements throughout the project or program end to end.

About You

  • Preferably experienced in Financial Crime or Risk and Compliance related roles
    • Experience in Business Analysis including experience at a senior or leadership level in:
    • Requirements elicitation Process analysis and development
    • The writing of high-quality reports and other outputs
    • The usage and presentation of data, with a good level of experience in Microsoft Excel Understanding of project management lifecycles, disciplines and procedures.
  • Comfortable to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and work hands-on, collaboratively with passion and energy as a key member of a fast-paced agile team
  • Can appreciate difficult problems and work autonomously on tasks with a moderate complexity, works collaboratively as part of a team and clearly represent consolidated findings
  • Analytical, strong ability to influence without direct authority and demonstrated learning agility to digest complex and large information sets to draw insights, conclusions and actions
  • Strong communication & rapport-building skills, delivering messages effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, problem solving validation & management
