About the Role

Your principal objective would be to maintain, embed and continually improve the Risk Management Framework throughout the organisation by ensuring Enterprise Risk Management policies and processes are maintained, embedded and effectively understood and adhered to by all areas of the Bank. The focus of this role is also to provide risk management training, design and distribute reports containing leading and lagging risk indicators and report on the effectiveness of controls to senior stakeholders. 

You will support the GM Risk oversee all aspects of the Risk Management Framework including responsibilities for ongoing continuous improvements to the framework itself and tools, techniques and methodologies employed to ensure it is a valuable first line management tool.

You will be responsible for:

  • Enhancement, management and maintenance of the “Protecht” Risk Management System and the “Protecht” Risk Registers.
  • Provide analysis of operational losses, risk and compliance incidents and near misses, issues and breaches, aggregating and consolidating to an enterprise level, including enhancing reporting to Executive Leadership & Board/s on the design and implementation of the Risk Management Framework policies, including management and compliance attestations.
  • Design and implement reporting systems for information on the Bank’s compliance with its ERM framework and policies, including management and compliance attestations.
  • Review and update frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Ownership and participation in adhoc projects as Risk SME.
  • Support the GM Risk in the development and embedding of systems and processes to support continuous improvement in the risk maturity of the Bank.

About You

  • Proven experience in Enterprise Risk Management, governance & policy preferably gained within a retail financial services environment.
  • Experience in presenting to management teams to explain and educate in relation to all aspects of a Risk Management Framework.
  • Strong knowledge of ADI prudential standards.
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate and concise reports and policy documents.
  • Ability to manage volume of work and meet required level of output within time limit.
  • Experience with Boards and Board meetings, papers and agendas would be advantageous.
  • Experience enhancing and managing Risk systems in order to support the direction of Risk and the business.
