As part of the Group Risk Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining the risk systems used across the Group.

Colonial First State (CFS) is a superannuation, investment and retirement solutions and platform business with over $135 billion of funds under administration and looking after the retirement needs of over 1 million Australians.

On any given day you will:

  • Champion ‘member first’ and ‘should we’ mindset
  • Administer and maintain risk systems across the Group
  • Provide automated risk reporting and data across the CFS Group as required
  • Provision of risk system access and monitoring this access to ensure appropriateness for role responsibilities across the Group
  • Support the preparation of discussion papers and documents based on analysis and findings
  • Support sustainable RegTech solutions in key areas such as monitoring, assurance and reporting activities
  • Oversee and report on provision of TSA services from CBA
  • Track any system changes being made by the Group and ensure appropriate cascade and/or training required
  • Maintain independence as a Line 2 function when executing all responsibilities.

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess:

  • Experience in risk systems and technology is essential, demonstrating an analytical mind set
  • Demonstrated ability in generating insights and recommendations based on risk data and using this to influence decision making
  • Commercial acumen balanced with proven technical expertise
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with exceptional communication skills.

CBA has entered into an agreement with KKR to sell a 55% interest in its CFS superannuation and investments business for total cash consideration of $1.7billion (implying a total valuation of $3.3billion). CBA will retain a 45% shareholding in CFS.

The sale is expected to complete in the 2nd half of 2021. As this is a role to work in the CFS business, the successful candidate will initially be employed by the CBA Group but on sale completion, their employment will transfer to a new entity that will employ the CFS business employees from completion.
