What does the job look like?

The Safety & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for assisting the site in implementing the Linfox Safety Management System and site-specific standards, policies and procedures in relation to Workplace Health and Safety and Compliance.

Specific key areas include:

  • Provide proactive in field leadership through daily safety walk and talks (SWATs) to coach, influence, set and enforce safety standards and expectations.
  • Conduct safety and compliance audits and inspections in consultation with the site and action plans that address identified key risks.
  • Monitor the effective safety and compliance performance of the site (including Subcontractors
  • Develop and distribute health and safety communications, implement and monitor the implementation of Corporate, Business Unit and Site WHS programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor Subcontractor compliance to Linfox Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Contribute to the analysis and development of site training needs and monitor the implementation of training plans and licensing.
  • Conduct safety investigations, inspections, assessments, and audits within the workplace.

Are you the one?

The successful candidate will have solid understanding of Workplace Health and Safety legislation, standards and codes of practice and knowledge of safety management systems and ISO 45001:2018. We seek interest from applicants who are flexible, displays sound judgement, demonstrates a mindset and commitment to continuous improvement and implements change when required.

You can demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification; minimum certificate IV level qualification in WHS
  • Formal qualifications in Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment preferred
  • Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent
  • Experience in creating ISO documentation, running audits and training staff
  • Practical experience within Health and Safety and documenting
  • Highly proficient with reporting & documentation
  • Sounds computer skills, including Incident Reporting Software
