What’s the Opportunity? - 12 month fixed contract

As a Senior Credit Risk & Collections Consultant, you'll provide robust credit risk assessment (individual customers and portfolio), collection on overdue debt, support to the credit receivables team, support to the business (EGW). You'll focus on timely processing, while maximizing cash flow and mitigating risks for the Enterprise/Government/Wholesale portfolios.

What’s the day to day look like?
  • Leading and implementation of Vocus credit and collections procedures
  • Collect of all outstanding EGW debtors
  • Develop and implement adequate record keeping to support organization in debt collection activity
  • Providing guidance to senior leaders and managers in other business units as the main contact point for debt management
  • Maintain records of outstanding debtors, make arrangements for follow-up, negotiation of payment plans and recommendations on potential bad debts or emerging issues
  • Analyze aged debt and meet with Finance and Legal managers to present recommendations for potential legal action
  • Complete credit risk assessments and recommend appropriate security, as required
  • Routinely assess risk exposure and provide recommendations
  • Update, maintain, reconcile debtors ledger, as required
  • Demonstrate effective customer relationship management
  • Analyze aged debt and meet with Finance and Legal managers to present recommendations for potential legal action
  • Facilitate dispute resolution processes
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly debtor reports, including reports of delinquent and high risk accounts and recommend strategic recovery and resolutions

What you will need to be successful:
  • Full rights to work in Australia - citizenship or residency
  • At least 5 years of experience in Credit & Fraud assessing
  • Strong experience in Commercial risk assessment and collection
  • Industry knowledge
  • Credit Scoring and credit risk assessment
  • Ability to analyze information and determine relevant risk
  • Effective and reliable dispute resolution skills
  • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with sales and active debtors
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • Advanced Excel Skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize & use initiative.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Ongoing desire for continuous business improvement
  • Initiative and a proactive nature
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
