The Role

Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk, you will enjoy overseeing a portfolio the rotates every 18 months to give you full exposure of the client base. You will prepare credit applications from potential borrowers and drive the credit assessment process. Key duties will include:

  • Management of credit risk on a selected portfolio of ADIs and Corporate exposures;
  • Meet with clients and Relationship Manager for credit risk review and updates;
  • Prepare detailed submissions for management review, and at times, even Board review on client cases;
  • Preparation and processing of detailed credit submissions for all committed and uncommitted facility applications;
  • Ongoing monitoring of counterparties' credit worthiness;
  • Provision of timely credit decisions for all permanent and transactional credit requests;
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in all risk management system; and
  • Assist the ongoing improvement to existing credit risk related policies and procedures and their implementation.

Your Background

  • 3-5 years' experience in the Credit Risk space gained in a financial services business;
  • Sound ability to read and understand balance sheets, profit & loss, cash flow statements and other financial reports;
  • Excellent communicator who enjoys stakeholder management and dealing face-to-face with high profile corporate clients;
  • Good general knowledge of the APRA prudential standards, particularly those applicable to ADIs;
  • Familiarity with lending practices and products; and
  • Understanding of credit scoring models.
