Are you committed to improving home care services for older people? Can you help the Department investigate that the integrity of the Home Care Packages Program?
The Department of Health is seeking enthusiastic people to build the capacity of the team to investigate fraud and integrity risks for the Home Care Packages Program.

The key duties of the position include
As an Assistant Director - Senior Investigator, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Building and managing a cohesive team of investigators through an investigations, regulatory, legal and compliance environment.
  • Identifying and addressing additional learning or support needs of your team.
  • Leading efforts to ensure the Department meets Commonwealth Fraud Control Framework and Commonwealth Risk Management Policy obligations related to the program.
  • Providing overall senior management reporting, budget reviews, issues and actions pertaining to the validity and compliance of the fraud investigations.
  • Conducting comprehensive and regular operational and tactical fraud risk assessments.
  • Supporting the triage and analysis of non-compliance signals for aged care matters.
  • Leading criminal and civil investigations with rigorous attention to detail and proper procedures.
  • Giving evidence in criminal and civil court as required.
  • Applying and providing advice in regards to the use and the interpretation of statutory provisions and related policies.
  • Supporting the development of policy and procedures for the conduct of investigations as required.
  • Supporting the identification of regulatory and legislative issues for improving program integrity and recommend corrective action.
