$120,080 - $137,078 per annum plus superannuation
Contract appointment up to 5 years and merit list for up to 12 months

Working within a multi-disciplinary team to conduct investigations into corruption in public administration, the Senior Investigator and Investigator play a critical role in supporting the Commissioner to preserve integrity in South Australian public administration.

Undertaking complex and sensitive investigations, the Senior Investigator and Investigator are responsible for identifying and collecting evidence, undertaking investigative interviews and preparing statements to ensure the highest quality briefs of evidence for prosecution and /or reports to the Commissioner.

Persons engaged as Senior Investigators will be responsible for leading investigations and mentoring Investigators to ensure the application of best practice investigation techniques.

To be successful in either role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Successful completion of a detective training course, investigations training course or equivalent training.
  • Significant experience in investigations in a law enforcement agency including the application of investigative and cognitive interviewing techniques.
  • High level written and oral communication skills.

Special Conditions

Applicants may be required to undergo psychometric profiling.

Engagement as a Senior Investigator or Investigator, and relevant remuneration will be determined by an assessment of the successful applicants’ skills and experience against the ICAC’s Investigator Competency framework.

$120,080 - $137,078 per annum plus superannuation (INV-11 – INV-24)
