Cyber Security is part of the Enterprise Services (ES) business unit at Commonwealth Bank.

Cyber Security’s purpose is to engender trust, and enable secure and innovative experiences for customers and communities.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, Cyber Attack Response - you will coordinate a group of talented security personnel as they investigate and contain against cyber threats across the Group.

  • Lead and develop our team of cyber incident responders to ensure a service for the Group which is able to investigate and contain threats in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee senior team members managing concurrent incidents to drive consistent incident response activities.
  • Ensure that cyber security incidents integrate with the Group’s greater incident management framework as well as Group policies and procedures.
  • Drive effective written and verbal communications from the service to ensure that stakeholders have the appropriate level of situational awareness, knowledge of observed trends, and are able to leverage evidence from realised events to make informed decision making.
  • Integrate the principal of continuous improvement into incident response processes to ensure that findings and identified gaps are leveraged to uplift the Group’s security posture.
  • Collaborate with peers in Cyber Threat Detection, Cyber Threat Monitoring and Cyber Intelligence to ensure collaborative and optimized workflows.
  • Identify and oversee the execution of automation and orchestration activities to ensure efficient and effective response activities.
  • Ensure active maintenance for documentation such as incident response plans, playbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Contribute to projects that enhance the security posture of the group

What you will need to succeed

You have the leadership experience of managing a team of strong & passionate technical team members. Experience in managing stakeholders.
