Reporting to the Executive Manager Operational Risk, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of an effective ORMF to ensure the Business Units are able to achieve their strategic objectives.

Operational Risk ensures that the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on operational risks. The team works collaboratively to achieve the optimal risk and return outcomes for the Group.

On any given day you will;

  • Assist in the optimisation of operational risk management and the development and maintenance of an effective ORMF to support the Business Units and the Group to achieve their strategic objectives;
  • Apply continuous improvement and simplification of the ORMF and operational risk practices/processes including the identification of opportunities for streamlining and productivity;
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business unit strategies and priorities to facilitate end-to-end accountability for Operational Risk from framework setting to deployment across the Group by the Executive General manager (EGM) Operational Risk;
  • Provide commercial, value-added and insightful advice to Business Unit teams to optimise operational risk management;
  • Build and maintain strong and productive relationships across the Operational Risk and compliance communities;
  • Provide an end to end Risk and control Service to ensure the Operational Risk framework is effectively implemented in the BU's and supporting each BU LT to operate within their Risk appetite.
