What are you going to do? You’ll be:
This senior position known internally as Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end management of complex audit assignments across all ING Australia operations, as well as providing regular input into determining the annual audit plan for the Head of Internal Audit. This includes planning individual audits by completing audit scope risk assessments, leading and supervising team members to ensure overall quality delivery and execution of the audit, and coordinating testing of the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
Providing input to the annual audit plan, ensuring significant risks across the business are successfully incorporated with the requirements and expectations of key stakeholders (EXCO, Business Unit Heads, and Corporate Audit Services Amsterdam.)
Planning, managing and reporting audits from start to end identified from the Annual Audit Plan including timeframes
Reviewing of audit work papers ensuring quality and depth of testing. Audit fieldwork is executed according to CAS Bank methodology and ING Australia’s Internal Audit Charter
Performing audits in accordance with the approved Audit Plan, having the ability to lead in more complex audits while still assisting with execution
Ensuring risks and key recommendations are appropriately reported, tracked, monitored for resolution and implemented appropriately
Assisting in the development of staff by providing end of engagement feedback. Assisting management with input to formal performance appraisals
Supporting, mentoring and on-the-job training
What are we looking for? Someone who has
Understanding of risks and controls applicable to financial services organisation
Specific relevant audit or business expertise (preferably in the Risk and Finance space)
5 to 9 years post qualification experience in Banking and Finance
Strong stakeholder management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to take ownership of audits end-to-end to deliver results with minimal supervision
Solution oriented and result driven
Appropriate Internal Audit, Risk Management post-graduate qualification e.g. Chartered Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor (or willingness to undertake)
