The Senior Manager Model Risk participates in the analysis, reporting, monitoring and governance of quantitative models across the Group. The Senior Manager will assist in the development and validation of model frameworks for the effective management of credit, market and enterprise risk across the model lifecycle. Supports senior management in coordinating these activities for the effective management of model risk.
Uses knowledge of business and regulatory drivers when managing models through the model lifecycle.
Understands mathematical models/approaches and analytics techniques to assess and quantify model risk.
Collates and documents frameworks governing mathematical theory, quantitative models, data, and model outputs.
Identifies & quantifies model risks using frameworks and an understanding of mathematical models & statistical analysis.
Develops, validates or provide assurance on complex metrics and tools to help manage, measure, and monitor model risk.
Provides sound recommendations for improvements to existing or new models based on analysis and findings.
Participates in model owner activities including application of Group Model Risk Policy, model standards, prudential attestations and end-to-end model lifecycle.
Supports the model owner in effective governance of models.
Prepares discussion papers and documents based on investigations & analysis.
Communicates results and analyses to management and key internal stakeholders
Work productively as part of a team or independently to meet deadlines; provides coaching and people management (where applicable) to team members

Demonstrated experience using fundamental and quantitative risk measurement and analytical tools and models
Developed quantitative tools and techniques to analyse risks.
Ability to draft, collate or co-ordinate framework documents which govern models, quantitative techniques and related analysis.
Comprehensive understanding of how to assess and leverage quality data.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships.
Ability to actively build relationships and networks with others.
