The Quality & Control Team within the CCO works across RBS and the Three Lines of Accountability to provide effective and timely product governance, monitoring controls and reviews, designed to uplift performance outcomes across RBS and ensure adherence to Group Frameworks, Standards and Policies across RBS.

As the Senior Manager, Product Governance & Regulatory Change, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring RBS complies with regulatory obligations and Group policies by implementing required change initiatives impacting RBS product governance processes. Your team will also provide governance and oversight of new and major changes to RBS products through end-to-end management of product concept reviews.

A key part of the role will be leading the implementation of changes impacting RBS product governance resulting from the Product Design and Distribution Obligations (PDDO) and Product Development and Distribution Policy (PDDP). Reporting to the Executive Manager, Quality and Control, you will work closely with the Product Governance team and key stakeholders across the Group to ensure required change is effectively implemented across RBS.

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in banking/financial services/other relevant experience, and/or experience in Product Governance/Regulatory Change.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills with the ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems.
  • Ability to use questioning techniques to delve below initially presented scenarios to uncover correct underlying problem or opportunity.
  • Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
