Exciting opportunity to join the Line 1 Risk Controls & Transformation Hub, within Enterprise Risk
How will I help?
The Group Risk Control & Transformation team is a Line 1 Business Controls & Monitoring Hub that supports the Risk Division to manage its own risks. Team members partner with Line 2 Risk professionals aligned to a Business Unit GM and also provide subject matter expertise in a particular area.
As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a key leadership role in implementing and managing risk management and monitoring obligations in the Risk Division, supporting consistent implementation and embedding of risk management frameworks, policies and controls. You will support key stakeholders on all matters of risk and control, implementing solutions to risk and control problems. You will also provide input into the Risk Division’s Risk Committee, including key risk themes, emerging issues, progress towards remediation and performance against risk appetite.

What do I need?
This role covers all areas of Risk & Compliance. As such, an ideal applicant will have a strong, generalist risk management background (Line 1, 2 or 3) with recent expertise/specialist knowledge in a particular area of risk & compliance (eg privacy, conduct or financial crime risk). Ideally you will have financial services experience however those looking to make the first move out of a professional services firm will also be considered.
You will also have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and be able to influence and appropriately challenge stakeholders across the business unit, division and wider group. Strong, demonstrated leadership abilities are a must.
