How will I help?
As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing risk management and monitoring obligations in the Risk Division, supporting consistent implementation and embedding of risk management frameworks, policies and controls. You will partner with key stakeholders to ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group.
The Line 1 Business Controls & Monitoring Team supports the wider Risk Business units within the Risk Division to manage its own risks.

Your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

  • Provide risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risks, issues and controls to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
  • Provide support to the business in developing their risk profile through the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks and obligations, incidents and risk and compliance management including to risk forums and committees (excluding prudential risks and obligations)
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and enable more efficient and effective risk and compliance practices in the business.

What do I need?
This role covers all areas of Risk & Compliance. As such, an ideal applicant will have a significant, strong, risk experience (Line 1, 2 or 3) with recent expertise/specialist knowledge in a particular area of risk & compliance (e.g operational risk, compliance & conduct or financial crime risk). Ideally you will have financial services experience however those looking to make the first move out of a professional services firm will also be considered. 

You will also have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills and be able to influence and appropriately challenge stakeholders across the business unit, division and wider group. You will also bring a team first mindset and pragmatic attitude to problem; you won’t have any issue taking the initiative and enjoy the challenge of problem solving.
