The Role

We currently have an exciting permanent, full time opportunity in our Line 2 Specialist Risk Class, Technology Risk team, the role is for a Specialist, Technology Risk. The purpose of the role is to support the successful achievement of IAG’s strategic objectives through the effective management of operational risk within approved Risk Appetite.

The unique contribution of the role is to provide Group-wide subject matter expertise and thought leadership to optimise the management of Technology Risk, including the effectiveness of the controls environment and adequacy in managing against regulatory and policy obligations oversight across the Group.

The successful candidate will be able to analyse data, in depth understanding of risk and technology and its applications. Understanding of various regulatory frameworks and obligations with an experience of 5+ years in similar or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide SME to the 1st and 2nd line and group wide in relation to Technology Risk and requirements of CPS234, Data Risk and Privacy.
  • Provide support for group reporting of Technology Risk and the CPS234 environment across the group
  • Ensuring ‘Fit for Purpose’ of Group Wide Operational Risk and Assurance practices as they relate to technology risk and controls effectiveness.
  • Monitor technology-based incidents in relation to risk appetite
  • Maintain a forward view of emerging technology risks and industry trends informing our risk strategy
  • Provide Data and Privacy Risk Management Oversight including CPS234 environment and matters of Privacy Risk across the group

Skills & Experience

  • Technology, data and privacy Risk and its application in an enterprise and controls framework.
  • Experience with Human Centered design and Agile methodologies
  • General/Life/Re-Insurance or Banking experience
  • Governance and Compliance practices
  • Practical understanding of regulatory obligations including CPS234, CPS232, CPS231, CPG235 and related Operational Risk and Assurance risk prudential standards.
