Your career at NAB is about more than money, it's about serving our customers well and helping our communities prosper. We currently have an opportunity for a Technology Risk and Controls Consultant to work in our Divisional Controls Team.

You are an experienced risk and controls professional with the ability to operate in a high performing team that takes a practical approach to solving issues and adapts to changing priorities quickly. You have a strong background in risk, controls and compliance. This role is critical in driving risk and controls awareness, understanding, and change to create a centre of excellence for controls including the uplift of NAB’s controls environment.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in technology risk management and regulatory compliance disciplines, including control design

  • Operational risk and regulatory obligation identification, impact assessment and change within the Division

  • Experience in advising business leaders on the application of the operational risk and compliance management framework to evaluate risks to achieve business outcomes

  • Passionate about taking a leading role in driving the controls transformation agenda with a specific focus on improving the control environment using NAB’s control and process methodology

  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Experience technology platforms and technology domains

  • 5+ years’ experience in a technology risk, controls or compliance disciplines

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Identify, design and implement targeted effective controls to manage the requirements of technology risk and compliance policies and associated obligations

  • Support business with risk management activities such as Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) system support and management of risk management core metric

  • Perform risk assessments on systems / applications

  • Support business stakeholders with completing control self-assessments

  • Support risk and control weaknesses remediation activities
