A progressive and well-established Mid-Tier firm in Hobart is looking for a Senior Accountant that wants to expand their career in an accounting practice, where they will provide value-added accounting services such as management reporting, financial analysis, and comprehensive accounting solutions whilst building strong rapports with their clients. Your role would include these responsibilities:
Managing and mentoring a team of accountants and training them on latest technical standards
Working with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally to get outcomes for your clients.
Be involved with the preparation and lodgement of tax returns and financial accounts for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSF’s
Prepare and review a large variety of tax returns including monthly and quarterly BAS and FBT returns while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws
Analyse financial data including income and expenditure and discuss the financial health of the business with the business owners
Help clients in framing their budgetary allocations and tax and accounting strategies
Ideally you will be or have:
Already graduated and completed/completing your CA/CPA qualification
Previous Australian experience (min 5+ years) in a similar role, preferably within Public Practice
Experience managing a team and reviewing work
Need to be experienced business services people (PSI, DIV7A, DNCL, FBT etc) and able to work autonomously whilst managing a team
Great client relationship experience, and well developed interpersonal and communication skills. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile to look after clients and deliver exceptional service!
